Get to know more about me
So, what's the story...Born and raised in Myanmar
Growing up, I loved reading tech magazines, comics, manga, watching anime and the usual nerdy kid stuff. Then I got my hands on the first pc which was Windows 3.11 and found myself fascinated with computers and surrounding tech stuff.
Studied Engineering at Nottingham University
My time at university was interesting and full of ups and downs. Despite all my struggles academically, I spent my time getting involved in Students Community Action (aka Students Volunteering Centre). It was there I found my strength and passion in enabling and empowering others.
Freelance Private tutor for nearly a decade
Though initially started as a weekend side hustle while working full-time, through word of mouth and referrals, I inadvertently became a private English tutor. Rewarding as it may have been, I found myself repeatedly seeking out a more exciting and equally rewarding career.
Embarked on the bootcamp journey with School of Code
The thirst to rekindle with my love and passion for tech, I started self-teaching coding and web development basics online. Then purely by chance, I saw a social media post about SoC national bootcamp. I was selected from almost 2000 applicants to be one of the candidates for the first ever national bootcamp by SoC. Admittedly, this may have been one of the hardest tasks yet in my adult life but I am beyond excited to start a new career in tech.
